A SERIES IN FOG
Through the fog, a mountain's beauty shines.
This series of images was inspired by my time in the mountains. Although I hated racing in the fog, I loved watching it cling to the trees, chairlifts, and slopes.

ALWAYS YOU - SOLD
28"x20" - acrylic on wood
This emotive image of my son was crying out for another life - so here it is. I chose to stick with a monotone palate to both simplify and accentuate the intimacy of his expression.

UNDER THE STARS
36"x 18" - acrylic on wood
This beautiful animal was mounted on a wall, someone's trophy. After seeing it there, I kept having visions of it 'relocated' under the stars as I did for the owl, 'Taking A Moment'.

FEELING WILD - SOLD
36" x 24" - acrylic on canvas
Sitting beside my 4y old son as he created his own piece of art, I was inspired and free-flowing. This painting had three lives/phases. In the end, It's a work that speaks to the sentiments I feel at my home, in Canmore, Alberta.
TOQUE PLAY

GOT MILK?
24"x24" - acrylic on wood
At its core, my art is inspired by my emotional responses. Once an image is stuck in my mind, I simply MUST paint it. This painting, like many of my pieces, was inspired by one of my photographs, However, it took on a life of its own once I began putting paint on canvas.

A MOMENT PLEASE
16"x24" - acrylic on wood
This young owl was well taken care of, but it was not free. In a crowd of people reaching out to pet this captive bird, I snapped this image. I then wanted to 'set her free' and saw that coming in the form on a night scene. I am now at peace with this image, and like most of my work, it also makes me smile.

JUST BREATH - SOLD
20" x 60" - acrylic on canvas
The largest canvas I have taken on to date sat in my basement awaiting inspiration to strike for over 2y. Finally, this image, again inspired by my photographic work, depicts a woman collecting herself moments before competition. A moment I can relate to personally and connect with deeply.

ON MY WAY - SOLD
30"x40" - acrylic on canvas
This painting was simple yet challenging. Trying to demonstrate movement & detail of a solo skier, awaiting his next adrenaline-filled descent.
AN AIRY FOCUS - SOLD
24" x 48" - acrylic on wood
With one of the largest canvases I've worked on to date, I wanted to ensure the subject spoke to me. The complete focus on the task at hand felt right on every level, and the negative space offered a balance that I'm drawn to. However, most importantly, this moment makes me smile and I hope it does for you too.
