I'm a proud Canadian, yet a large part of what I identify with as being Canadian, our Arctic, is a region I had never visited. So you can imagine my excitement when that changed.
With One Ocean Expeditions, my husband David Ford & I, travelled from Iqaluit to Resolute Bay, Nunavut. Along our journey we saw polar bears, walrus', narwhals, bow whales, and much more along with a wide variety of birds.
Surrounding these animal sightings, we were blessed with a landscape that is so stark and seemingly barren, yet held such majesty and life - you simply had to open your vision to see it.
Finally, our trip was highlighted by a day in Pond Inlet where we connected with local youth and tried our hand at traditional Arctic Games.

When asked if I would return to the arctic, if given the chance, my answer is a resounding yes.
